Ko Joon-yong, CEO of SecureLink, said in his New Year's address on the 3rd, "We will contribute to improving the security level of small and medium-sized companies in 2023 amid difficult economic conditions and at the same time accelerating our entry into markets in Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the United States."

CEO Koh said, "SecureLink has been participating in in information protection support projects such as preventing technology leakage since 2021 and has been improving the weak security status by supplying and establishing essential security functions such as document security, ransomware and malware blocking, and personal information protection to promising companies."

He said, "This year, the global economic situation is expected to be more difficult following last year, and corporate security investment is bound to shrink." However, security threats such as hacking and ransomware will not be reduced, he predicted.

"This technology will open new possibilities in terms of network security configuration, detection, and proactive defense," he said, introducing "AI-based network cryptographic traffic detection technology" developed by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) last year.

Finally, CEO Koh said, "We will try to make a noticeable contribution to improving the security level of SMEs in 2023 amid more difficult economic conditions," adding, "We hope that it will be an opportunity to raise the national security level through cooperation while more experts think together and create realistic and practical security policies."

[Specialized in New Year's history]

As always, 2023 is the new year.

The information protection disclosure system, which became mandatory since June last year, disclosed the status of information protection of companies subject to obligation. It was an opportunity to see the status of information protection of major domestic companies again.

The gap in in information protection investment between large companies, government offices, and general SMEs in Korea is large, but the government supports some of the investments in information protection for small businesses that have passed certain standards and are recognized as important technology companies. Since 2021, SecureLink has been participating in the government's information protection support projects, including technology leakage prevention, supplying and establishing essential security functions such as document security, DLP, ransomware and malware blocking, privacy, and safe file sharing to promising SMEs.

As a person who is in the information security industry and knows the weak security status of small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea, he is a manager who develops information protection technology and considers the reality of the domestic security market, I can't help but welcome the government's efforts.

This year, the global economic situation is expected to be even more difficult following last year, which will inevitably dampen corporate security investment But security threats like hacking and ransomware will not be reduced. This is why less investment will provide more effective security technologies, and we will be deeply concerned about strategies, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises that are suffering.

In accordance with the Ministry of Science and ICT's policy last year, Secure Link was selected for the AI security product development support project conducted by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and developed AI-based threat detection technology in network cryptographic traffic.

Until now, it is safe to say that all security in Korea starts with visualizing cryptographic traffic, which has involved many problems such as the performance, bottlenecks, and delays of visualization equipment. As equipment such as firewalls and UTM supplied to small and medium-sized enterprises is also an obstacle to supplying the latest security technology in the same area, we expect that the technology developed by SecureLink will open up new possibilities in terms of network security configuration, detection, and proactive defense.

In the future, this field is one of the key technologies that can become a game changer in the major network security market of large companies, governments, and SMEs. The AI technology developed by SecureLink was selected as the best company in KISA.

SecureLink will make a notable contribution to improving the security level of small and medium-sized enterprises in 2023 amid tougher economic conditions, while simultaneously speeding up its entry into markets in Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States. We hope that more experts will think together and create realistic and practical security policies at the government's policymaking stage, and that it will be an opportunity to raise the level of national security stronger and more effective through cooperation.
